DNForum.com has been sold. gregr has been ousted.
It's time for a regime change. :)

Adam Dicker of High Impact Sites Inc. has bought the site. As the owner of 60,000 domain names, Adam is a major player in the domain name market.

Dan, the founder of DNForum had this site for 6 months. I've had the site for a little over 6 months. Through the addition of new features and the work of excellent moderators, DNForum has reached a new level. I'm sure with new ownership and management, DNForum will reach new heights.

Adam plans to spend advertising dollars to promote DNForum.
That promotion will bring in buyers. We can never have too many buyers.

The moderators will not be replaced. I'm not going anywhere. I will come into the rank of Platinum member.

Many of you are aware, I'm not a people person. Hopefully those that I had friction with, will see the value of a membership now and join the crowd. :)

Deja vu.

I know you're disappointed there is no mod uprising this time. Give up on promoting domainstate. That place is dullsville. Ask jh3 who just joined after an excruciating vacation from DNF.

I think he is kidding Domebase about the $1 a post.

DS is a good forum, just different than here, not as busy as here, less sell oriented, with more emphasis on development related discussions.

This forum is looser, high traffic and very good for selling names.

Both are good imo.

let's see if adam is the better member than gregr:cool: :D
@nhlrat: am i gonna get one of your domains for being member 200?
not that gregr's dnfbucks were all that bad, but i would have preferred jets.com:D :D :D

Wow!! I was slow in finding this post. No wonder we had 389 visitors. Thanks Greg. Good Luck Adam. :)

Thanks Greg for shaping a great forum and best of luck to the new owner.

i think gregr should really be commended

what he has done for the community in such a small space of time is amazing - whilst at the same time taking dogs abuse for charging members. I think the membership plans have increased the quality of members here which is always a good thing.

The auction system which he put a lot of time in has been great also.

From my point of view if i bought this forum last year i wouldnt have thought of adding an auction system or membersip plans but both have been successful.

Heres to Adam taking DNF to the next level.

GREGR .. Deposed dictator .. :D :D

Thats funny .. :D :D

I may of missed it but did any mention what the selling price of DNF was?

I've promised Adam not to tell. :D

Just for the record: remember I said "time will tell". I have to admit that for an investment, you did make the right decision and fish an awesome chunk of cash. Good for you. [/envy look]

Great Job Greg!!! Welcome Adam - Look forward to seeing more changes on the forum. Steve
