Thankfully, Isabelle is weakening. She is down to a category three hurricane now (115 MPH winds). But, it is still dangerous!

It should should strike in the next few days.

Since my county was featured on the Weather Channel this morning due to the amount of rain we've had the past three days (and associated flooding :-( ), I'm NOT looking forward to this.

This is the rainiest year I can remember.

They decided to send it through my backyard.

They are calling for 6 - 9 inches of rain within a 4 - 6 hour period. Plus, we have had a record amount of rain this summer. Therefore, a lot of trees will blow down. Taking all the power lines with it.

So, I anticipate I will be off line from thursday night thru Saturday/Sunday.

I am located where the "." is on the "i" on "fri".

And, the right side of the storm is the windy side.

I guess I don't need to water my lawn today!

The word "fri" has moved since I posted. So, it is no longer an accurate indicator of my location.

Unfortunately, it is still scheduled to go thru my immediate area.

We hope that you all keep safe in that area - TV news-clips in the UK seem to show a nasty few hours for all.

The the amount of rain we received was less than projected. We only got 3 inches of rain. Unfortunately, the wind knocked out the power and the phones.

We lost power for over 48 hours. And, just got the phones line back. I am using dialup. Right now. And, It is slow.

And, my broadband is still down. So, I will be off line a little bit longer.
