Idea! Please Read!

I have an idea for DNForum.com. Basically, you guys should have a way for people to pay (either in DNF $ or US dollars) to have their thread in a section called "Featured Threads". This would be located on the right hand side of the forum's homepage. I think this would be a good idea for DNF because people that either want to get rid of expiring domain names fast or advertise their products want people to see it fast. Allowing this option to be available for members would also be beneficial to the forum since they would be getting paid for this service.

I like it. Yes, not a sticky thred, but an actuall box just like "domains for sale - fixed price" and such. It should be in that group of first 4 boxes. I like the idea!

Hmm, sounds much like namepros. I personally dont like the idea. A featured section would have a negitive effect of all other basic posts. Memberships have been paid for already, which brings in revenue for the site. No need for extra features that will crowed the homepage. Stickys arnt a threat as they are located right above the basic posts, and dont direct the traffic or potential buyers away from regular postings.

I like this idea not so much because it bring revenue but If there was a organized way to do it you could be able to pay money to have your thread in this box or your domain listed but it wouldnt be available to everyone I would think just exclusive members or a sertain amount of postitive feedback or just aproval by a moderator/admin.

Its an idea and you can break peoples legs for ideas =)

Sticky thread is a way to boost the hits to your thread. If I recall correctly you can also highlight a thread...? I want to say it was in the DNF store. This should be incorporated on the page you are making your thread. Check a box and it will deduct the DNF$ from your bank. Make it a two step process to prevent those from saying they accidently checked it. Something like highlite? you click activate and then the checkbox is allowed to be checked.
