wow you got some nice names though.
I like 747.cn, good travel portal (cheap airfare).

I thought I could get at most 40 names from pre-registration, now I have to get a loan to pay for them.

You could try selling some of them to pay for the others.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of country code domains, but some people here seem to like them.

You know, I been asking myself the exact same thing for a week now, since I seen the first .CN post here. I don't know about the .CN, in these examples!?!
Good Luck.

I'm also confused to .cn domain ... though I registered some for the sake I own .cn domain name.

It is hard to resell the .cn domain name if you are not in chinese market or no contact at all.

Good luck to those people who panic buying .cn domain name, maybe in the future it will bring fortune to resellers.

cheers for now,
tw

Buying into some cctld's makes sense.

But buying english language domains in a cctld that has a population unlikely to do a lot of buying on english language websites (and sits behind a government run firewall/censorship system) makes little sense to me.

It makes even LESS sense to go into debt to do it.

Yes, They do;)

Car or cars, short, very common English, even those who did not learn English should be aware of car or cars, they just show up on everywhere in the street and TV commerical :D

I really don't want to ... hmm ... but say cars.cn, I guess the Chinese are more likely TYPE IN car.cn (the singular), if they ever type in .cn or .com at all.

So again, back to my point: if you do NOT know Chinese, you might well get a bunch of useless names.

Having said that, 747.cn is a good one. The Chinese LOVE number domains.

Looks like you have a good catch. Some names up there are grandfathered previously. Obviously the person who owns com.cn don't consider to upgrade to .cn. Example is the grandfather of travels.cn - travels.com.cn. The company owns a few thousand top generic com.cn. It seems till date they have problem to sell in the resale market - all lead to their parent website email.com.cn. The high failure rate of grandfathering the cn from the respective com.cn worries me though. Example is escort.com.cn and escorts.com.cn both with established websites. I am wondering why they don't reg the cn since they qualify for grandfathering. I notice the same situation with jp names. Many times the co.jp don't consider to reg the jp name.
Hmmmmm......

Me too, I pre-registered hundreds of such names, and still have a chance of about 1-3% for really good names.
