ok, if necessary, tear me apart.. just yesterday remembered that I have a domain
Code:
vitties.com

is it reasonable to list it for $50k?

or, is it in a $2,000–$5000 price range?

I have been able to find only 1 company (LLC in NY) using this name, and it is registered only in .com (by me).. not the best pricing factor for a brandable name :/

.. and, so close to Mc Vitties brand :/ .. too close?

--

.. I want to gradually switch over only to investible .com (& LL cc) domains that can be reasonably priced for at least $50k ... want to establish that a reputation (it will take time, of course) that I don't sell anything below 50k.

Relevance matters., There's some references to "vittles", but sadly not for "vitties". LINK I really don't know how things might pan out. Gluck!

First of all, Vittles is an old Western expression for food. It's a bastardization of a word whose origins stem from the 1300s, and you'll often see it used in Western novels. McVitties only comes from the 1800s, so that would be fine.

With Vitties, I think you're running very close to the line with McVitties. If they come after you, it's not worth defending.
As for value, it's not a 50k domain in my books; I would even have trouble with the 2 to 5k valuation.
However, if you hang onto it and they come calling, I've faced that situation a few times with companies like UFC, Chrysler and others. A quick convo with their lawyers, pointing out that the cost of filing a lawsuit easily exceeds the 2-5k you're willing to settle for, would get you that price.
