Is this is a real paypal email?

i got this email the first time i thought it was a scam, but i got it again and im not sure

This is the Last reminder to log in to PayPal as soon as possible. Once you log in, you will be provided with steps to restore your account access.

No Not Real

The URL is way off. If you want to be sure, do not click on the link but instead go directly to PayPal's site (www.paypal.com) and log in directly. Anything fishy, call them though their customer serivce number.

This goes with anything, no matter how real the email looks, never click on the links. Always directly go to the site (open up IE, FF, or Safari and type in the URL), log in then contact them directly if you have questions (banks, Paypal, registrars, etc..).

The URL is a ccTLD (.fr) - why would a French company be contating you (an American by your location) about an American company.

Looks very phishy. Phishers are learning that they'll get more victims with presistence.

Red - typos. Communications are scrutinized beyond belief, this would have never gotten out.

Blue - repeated sentence.

They make is sound urgent to make people try to go there without thinking.

If you went to the link, clear out your cache and run a good anti-spyware scan (Ad-Aware and SpyBot, run both (one at a time).

That looks like a fake address. But, the key to not get caught in these phishing scams is by actually logging in to paypal. If it mentions nothing about verifying your account then you know it was a scam.

I have received emails similar to this by paypal in order to verify some information. But i only log into paypal through a different web browser.

I got like 50 emails like this a day in the spam folder.

The best way to tell if Paypal is really sending an email is to close the email. Open your browser and type paypal.com and login manually (DO NOT click on links in an email). Once you are logged in, you will have alerts, messages, or warnings they want you to see regarding your account.

Paypal never starts an email with, Dear PayPal Member:

Also in the emails mouse over the links and see what the url is in the bottom of your web browser...

Never click a link in your emails for a paypal email.

Always type the paypal url in your browser and then login to your account.
