saw on afternic's bazaar this name and am thinking of buying :

owner has posted some impressive traffic stats (5,496 uniques/month, PR3) and was hoping to get some feedback if you guys think it's worth buying ( currently at $600 ).

The name is not bad and $600 is not too high, IMHO. I would'nt give more for it though.

You're right, the name is not terrible for development. But that kind of traffic for that low of a price should always throw up red flags about the traffic. That is less than 1 penny per annual visitor. You could just about make 1 year ROI just on pop-ups. Even a fire sale price should be closer to 10 cents per annual visitor. If scammers were smarter they would put the traffic more in line with the price.

A couple of years ago i fell for a similar situation 12000 uniques per month,which i bought for 1k,now it down to 400 although its a nice domain i may just get my money back now if im lucky !

not wise to post names that you are "interested" in buying, as it's always possible you could alert someone else who would be interested as well.
which could drive up the bids.

imo it's best to pm someone you can trust.
