I've been through quite alot. hope all is OK.

I've donated $$$$ this morning and blood in my hospital but I can't do more from here.

You (well, everyone) should give blood whenever they can. Most blood donation centers even have giveaways. it's quick and not as painful as people think it is. The blood donation truck is at my place o work every two months and I make sure i donate each time they're there.

I agree. Its sad that it takes something like this to make people think about 9and realize) what is truly important in life. Things can be repaired and replaced (for the most part). People cannot.

Many do not understand what a strong coping mechanism this is. The dry wit and humor of medical people in a crisis is nothing more than that - a defensive coping mechanism.

I agree. Any humor and a positive attitude is far more helpful than most people realize. Even some hospitals tested with this and had a 100% better recovery rate of patients who kept happy thoughts in their mind and thoughts of their bodies fighting off whatever they had.

Disasters happen just about everywhere on the planet. Yes, they can affect you but it's horrible to let it consume you - you will never recover from it (an attitude like that helped us recover from Wilma a few years ago).

Psst. Pizza is technically Greek...

And if you really want to get nit picky, pasta is technically middle eastern (well, modern pasta (semolina) - it could be older and from the Greeks. The Chinese were also eating noodles (rise pasta) long before the Roman Empire, let alone Italy.

But - Italians do a great job with pasta and pizza.
