Check out this Google zoom option. And pick out a good spot for condo development and a nice data center. :)

I love the sarcasm going on in this thread, but the fact of the matter is that Mars' development and exploitation is pretty much going to be the only way we can guarantee the survival of our species, considering the inability of any government other than China's to actually implement population control measures.

Never mind the fact that it has plenty of the metals that are becoming more and more fundamental to construction projects here, but scarcer and scarcer as we've wasted so much of them. Copper thefts, anyone?

HI

Maybe in a hundred years or so we maybe on mars for long periods of time , but right now we first have to even get there...

Face it, folks. We're never going to colonize other planets; simply because we're about to destroy our own. Global warming is real, it's happening now and it's close to being irreversible. We have a beautiful planet and we must make the best out of it.

The absolute atrocity of the space program is that the money spent on the current Iraqi quagmire would have been more than enough to fund a colonization mission...
Can you imagine what the world would be like if the last 6.5 years had been spent on trying to ensure species survival and we'd made ourselves a nice little insurance policy in the form of a lunar or martian colony?

The surface temperature on Mars has been warming too, it started about the same time as Earth, It must be all the CO2 the Martians are emitting from burning fossil fuels to power their flying saucers... Prediction; In 2012, Al Gore flies to Mars with excavation team in hopes of uncovering Martian industrialization.

We can all think of places where money can be better spent in this country. I'd rather see more money going into MRT than another mission to Mars.

I bet they have really good weed on mars...that outer space alien shit! :alien:=~ :smokin:

All the more reason for Al Gore making the trip. :smokin:

I can sell you a bridge on Mars, draggar :D
Only got bridges? Damn, I was hoping for somewhere I could maybe 'chill', watch some TV etc .. sheesh .. bridges .. damn it! If there's no burger king .. forget it!

I will bring the beers there, some one else needs to bring the nuts and some chairs.

Make sure to bring your laptop so we can check DNF and look down to the Earth!
Beer .. you can drink beer there? Ok, forget burger king ... I'm in! (I'm fairly sure I have some chairs just laying about the place, doing nothing)

Humans are odd indeed.

When something comes about to demonstrate a remarkable milestone of humanity, we all stop and admire what man can actually do... and then we go straight back to all our petty bickering.

We don't just need a kinder and gentler America, we need a kinder, gentler, and smarter world.
