I was just browsing around the net and decided to see who owns Jesus.info. I noticed that it was created in 2001 and hadn't been updated since 2003. The expiration date shows Jul/2006 and its registered at Enom. This should have dropped a long time ago. Can Enom just hang onto this? What gives?

in enom had it, would they still have the site up? is that their practice to have running sites too to look after? maybe the guy still owns it- have you emailed the email on ths site?

I just don't understand how he could still own it if its expired. I doubt that enom would have a site up because they probably don't want anyone to know they have it.

Look also at GOD.INFO. It expired in mid-2006 also and is also a trademark .INFO domain registartion. It looks like both jesus.info and god.info have bogus trademark data. Maybe they are in "limbo" with Afilias and locked from further updating? Registry must know these names have bad trademarks when registered but perhaps they didn't challenge them right away (sunrise challenge) but locked them pending further investigation. It appears that neither domain has a valid trademark, and these names should be put up for auction by Afilias in another "Land Rush".

Don't get me started. Enom holds since feb 2006 an expired domain, in "extended RGP" mode.

they have alot of .info domains that they registered on customers behalf during the whole register a .com and they reg'd a free .info for you of the same name in your whois details...this happened to me with a reseller who did'nt put the domains in my account and I kept finding all these .info's with my whois info attached to them, then when they expired enom held onto the good ones...something is always fishy with those characters but can you blame them?

I am looking to buy a similar Christian .info domain to jesus.info (name withheld). Here is the Afilias record. The guy says he bought the domain after the trademark sunrise period and he doesn't know how trademark info got in the WHOIS record, and he said he can still renew it with the Registrar (Godaddy). Am I safe to buy this domain through Sedo's escrow or will it cause potential problems down the line?

I think he was joking with you because I don't remember seeing you as a bidder :yes:
slobizman was the winner if I recall..he'd have to verify though.. snapnames never got the name though they reported it as sold as the winner bidder paid ( all to the best of my knowlege as I've been following it) and was refunded
