LeapFish leaping too high?!?!

I used LeapFish to appraise (free version of course) a domain I currently own, but the estimate changed in like an hour. First it said XX,XXX USD then after an hour I tried again. It estimated XX USD :lol:, I hand regged it a couple of weeks ago. I'd have gotten a rough estimate if the appraisal was stable, which is lately again in the 5 figures.


In LeapFrog the domain got:
Combined Domain Name Appraisal Value Score: 339 :noidea:


Nameboy: USD 50
Estibot: USD 750
LeapFish: USD 10,000

Without knowing the name it is very hard to judge those appraisals, but from what I have seen in the past Leapfish is almost always far too high and Estibot is very often very accurate.

Your program shows all of my domains to be US$ 0.00 (precision added )...

Also, it shows one of the US$ XX,XXX names to be worth US$ 8. So I am assuming that you are still developing the program.

NTS, I tried a funny test: Sex.com

Estibot: (sex.com) : $18,000,000
Estibot: (SEX.COM) : $210,000 (be carefull with caps lock)

Leapfish : $18,756,076

DnDetails : $3,022


I also prefer Estibot but need some more fine tuning.

Leapfish, Estibot and all other generated/automatic appraisal systems are almost 100% unreliable. The only reason to check a domain up on Leapfish is to see if it has been previously developed. Domains usually score high if they have a huge history of development.

I bet Capital One would love that name. They are always pumping their rewards program. I think the slogan goes "from cash to point and back again - all with no hassle"

BTW Leapfish is now redirects to http://www.eperks.com/
not even a domain related site...?
