Time for me to learn some basic programming skills in MySQL and CGI/PHP. Does anyone know some good resources in mastering this art?

Advise, tips and hints would be greatly appreciated!

PHP.net intro tutorial: http://www.php.net/manual/en/tutorial.php
PHP Manual: http://www.php.net/manual/en/

I started putting together a list of tutorials at www.phprd.net

A list of php / mysql beginners tutorials: http://www.phprd.net/categories/MySQL/Beginners/Articles/

Some good sites for php beginners and more advanced at: www.devnetwork.net

The forum there at http://www.devnetwork.net/forums/ should also be helpful.

There's another big php forum on www.sitepointforums.com
And another, with tutorials, code and forum: www.phpbuilder.com

Hope that helps,

Sam

indeed.. study time =)

Drop by your local library and pick up some books.

If you have time, stop by Borders and read there as
they usually have much newer books than those
available in the library.

Nothing beats free!

Best of luck!
