I'd use Unicef to donate this time around.. in Disasters such as this I heard Unicef forward 100% of donations to them... red cross I think is something like 97% because they take out operating costs etc..

It is disquieting to view the videos on the news that show the devastation.

It is heartwarming, however, to see innumerable people reaching out to help.

Even as the casulaty numbers grow, it is heartening to see how the world is really coming together on this one. The George Bush Snr/Clinton partnership is expected to bring in as much from US Corporates as the US govt is donating.
