When you mix letters with numbers, it becomes very hard to get it right when using WOM (word-of-mouth) or audio media.
Avoid them if you are a developer, unless you are a reseller and can get it for $500 or less, then resell for at least $1k or more. There a lot of gullible buyers out there who still believe that the fewer the characters, the better it is. Even if it means jumbling up 1p2.com or 1p5.com, let alone pd1.com.
