Hi,

I would like to put up for auction http://www.linkinparkforums.com. This is a large Linkin park forum / fan website with 2,000 unique daily visitors and tons of back links (over 172,000 just on market leap). We are unable to give this website any attention and have decided to let it go to someone that can. The site maintains itself very well at it's current level, but, has 100x more potential if you have some TLC to offer.

Here's the stats:

Google: PR 6 (Great for adding links and building SEO for your other websites)
Market Leap BL: 172,314
Members: almost 4,000
Posts in Forums: over 219k! (TONS of content)
Alexa: 142,172
This site has great SEO for it's keywords.

Any questions feel free to send me a PM.

Opening bid is $1. Auction to end in seven days unless we get a buy out offer that we can't refuse.

Edit: This also comes with a vbulletin license.

Hi,

That was a buyout probe not a bid. I'm still waiting to see how the bidding goes before I jump in. That was only offered because I don't want to wait for 7 days. Kinda pointless. I'll just wait for the 7 days and bid then.

So the high bid is still $400.

No real revenue. Adsense banner pulls in about [[Edit: Please do not base bids off of revenue, I have no SS to show for this, we did not try to monetize this site properly nor was it tracked]] a day. We didn't have time to properly monetize the site because of other projects we decided to move forward with instead. We mostly used the site to promote our other sites and a couple nice PR6 SEO links. Not much operational cost so it was not an immediate concern for us. Sorry I couldn't help there. Revenue would just depend on your ability to monetize.

Ok, well, you said you would send me 1200 bucks right now, so, I would consider that an offer. If it was just a probe, please do not waste my time.

Ahh OK I don't want any misunderstanding between us then. It wasn't a time waster I would have sent so in that light I see how you can consider it an offer.

In the end it's your thread so if that's where you want the bidding to continue from it's you'r call :-)

Thanks,

GB

If you're really willing to pay 1200 bucks, why would I want to see any more bids that are less than that? I hope you can see my point of view, thanks.

Your probe was successful as we now know $1,200 is not enough for this site :(

So I'll offer $2,100 via paypal pending revenue SS's.

Dan,

Thanks for your offer, but, unfortunately I will have no screen shots to provide for the revenue, so if you're basing your offer off of the fact that I said 20 bucks a day from a google ad then I'll just consider your offer reversed. I didn't track the revenue, that was just a quick guess off the top of my head. Properly monetized I'm positive the site can do much better than 20 bucks a day, easily. I just do have time to do it and make you some screen shots.

Like I said, the monetization was not important for us because we are focused on other things.

Please base bids off of the information I provided in the description, those I can easily provide screen shots for. The monetization will be the job of the buyer of the site. Which is typically based on your resources and knowledge. Sorry if you feel that revenue guess was misleading, I'll edit it now so no one else bids based on it.

I would just like to also add that I think I will go ahead and list this on sitepoint as well. I am hoping someone will go for the BIN, which I'll set at 5k.

if Dan doesn't accept ^^ and i say IF you have a FIRM $1300 bid from me.

Btw are you sure it only gets 2,000 uniques per day lol, i monitored the site last night and it seems like it has at least 100 users online most of the time!!!

Btw will you accept Direct wire from my bank to your instead of using escrow.com ?

Bank wire is fine. If the buyer would like to use Escrow I would just ask them to pay the fee. It has been getting more than 2k per day recently "I'm really not sure why", but I am only going to claim 2k because the site has a solid long history of that average. From about 1500 to 2700 per day as I look through here. I think 2k is a fair average.
