I am looking for a new TV primary use will be for sports/movies...

37" - 42" is the size I am considering

I am still trying to unravel the mystery of plasma vs. lcd

I was told by 2 sales guys that the plasma would be the best choice...

But, I have also been told that the new 120hz lcd is really good...

The plasma I looked at was approx $1500 - it is the Panasonic TC-P42U1 I admit this is a beautiful TV - this is 1080p

but I can get a 37" LG for $1199, or a 42" Sharp Aquos for $1399 or a 40" Sony Bravia for $1499 - all of these are 1080p and 120hz

I am not too concerned about the price, but I do not want to go over the $1500 limit...

Anyway, if anyone has some advice or experience on this issue I would really appreciate some help!

Thanks!

120 mhz
1080p
and the blackest background you can buy contrast
Samsung or Sony, the componets that they add/have are good and worth the extra 500 bucks
Surround sound integration with hdmi

Enjoy

Thanks, so you feel that the lcd with 120hz would be as good for fast motion (sports) as the plasma?
