Lost my dad on Wed. He died a few days past his 85th birthday surrounded by his family and attended by medical staff he’d taught or knew. He was a man of conscience who, among other activities, worked to desegregate schools at a time when the National Guard was deployed with fixed bayonets and live ammo to prevent. He had just sent all 500 pages of his last book to the publisher. While it is hard to imagine a fuller or more complete life, I will miss him greatly.

I take great pleasure in reading this and knowing that he made an impact on so many people. Appears to be a blessed and happy 85 years. I think you also made him equally as proud of you.

Sounds like a dad to be proud of. Will his book still be published if accepted? Hope so.
