Making money with a debt/credit site

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a new Canadian site dealing with debt and credit issues. Besides Google ads, do any of you have any tips on how to make money with a site like this? I'm a freelance writer by trade, so I'm willing to put the work into it to make the information valuable to visitors...but I'm not as knowledgeable about the advertising/marketing side of things.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Well, many people with a credit problem just get too many credit cards. So why not offer them another new credit card and make some money with CC affiliates. I know that would be really immature to do on a credit help site, but if you are in it for the cash.....

I see what you mean...I was hoping to provide other credit options such as lower interest credit cards and tips on how to lower expenses to actually help reduce overall debt.

You gave me some food for thought though, on what I don't want the site to be like.
