Member of the Month

I think it would be cool if DCG and the mods got together and each month nominated a "Member of the Month" based on participation and quality contributions to the forum, etc...
If the winner is a gold member, he/she wins a bump up to platinum. If platinum, they win a bump up to exclusive. If already exclusive, $dnf 2000.

I've noticed some members are very helpful to others (helping with code, sites, posting important domaining info, etc.)

Anyone have additional comments/suggestions ?

Personally, I think over time it will alienate many of the members since there are only 12 months
and 74,000 members.

I accept the fact not all are active. But, there has to be 1,000 active or semi-active members.

I think Member of the Month can seem a bit cheesy...the best acknowledgments come from the people that have been helped...when they speak up and post how someone here has helped them or that a post or article was gold to them...some kind of review system in each thread might work...to help induce feedback.
