A free, curated way to discover expired domain auctions worth bidding.
https://ExpiredAuctions.com
Hi everyone!
We’re excited to join DNForum and become part of the domain investing community here.
We built ExpiredAuctions.com because searching through thousands of auction listings across multiple marketplaces can take a lot of time. Our goal is simple: make it easier to find the interesting domains without having to dig through everything yourself.
ExpiredAuctions.com is completely free to use and currently aggregates expired domain auctions from multiple marketplaces, including GoDaddy, Namecheap, Dynadot and others with more platforms being added.
Here’s a quick walkthrough for anyone who hasn't checked it out yet.
This is a great place to start.
The site analyzes and ranks auction domains using our scoring system, with ratings from 0–100. The ranking considers factors such as domain characteristics, age, TLD, auction activity and other signals.
80–100 → Premium pick
50–79 → Solid pick
0–49 → Watchlist
The score isn't meant to replace your own due diligence. It's designed to help you quickly narrow down a huge list of auctions to names that may deserve a closer look.
If you're actively bidding, this is one of the most useful sections.
It lets you focus on auctions approaching their expiration time rather than scrolling through listings that won't end for hours or days.
One of the things we're working to make particularly useful is finding domains based on what they're about, not just which auction marketplace they're listed on.
You can browse the current categories directly from the site's Browse menu:
₿ Crypto & Web3
These categories are updated with the current day's auction data, so they're useful for quickly narrowing down the larger auction inventory to domains that fit a particular strategy or niche.
Not everyone is looking for a $1,000+ auction.
Our bargain section is useful for investors who like looking for potentially interesting domains at lower current bids.
As always, current bid ≠ final price, so treat these as opportunities to investigate rather than automatic bargains.
Want to see which domains are attracting the most attention?
The Most Bids section makes it easy to identify auctions with significant bidding activity.
You can also browse auctions by marketplace:
GoDaddy Auctions
Namecheap Auctions
Dynadot Auctions
We’ve also been building a free Domain Investor Guide for people who want to learn more about the domain industry.
It covers topics such as:
- Finding and evaluating domain names
- Expired domains and auctions
- Domain valuation
- Domain investing strategies
- Brandable domains
- Domain terminology
- Buying and selling domains
- Common mistakes investors make
It's intended to be useful whether you're just starting out or simply want to brush up on a particular part of the industry.
We've also put together a resources section with useful tools, websites and information for domain investors.
Think of it as a growing collection of things we find useful while researching domains ourselves.
A big part of ExpiredAuctions.com is our 0–100 domain rating system.
We're not trying to tell you what a domain is "worth" or what you should bid.
Instead, the rating is intended as a research shortcut.
It can help surface domains with potentially interesting characteristics so you can spend your time doing the deeper research that matters including trademark checks, historical use, backlinks, comparable sales, search demand, commercial potential, etc.
Do your own due diligence before bidding.
We also offer a free Daily Top 10 newsletter.
Each morning, we send a short list of some of the highest-rated expired domain auctions worth taking a look at.
There's also an RSS feed (https://expiredauctions.com/feed.xml) for anyone who prefers following auction updates that way.
If you're new to ExpiredAuctions, here's the workflow I'd recommend:
1. Start with the Top 100 and see what's interesting.
2. Use the filters to narrow things down by price, TLD, marketplace, rating, bids, domain length, etc.
3. Check Ending Soon when you're looking for auctions that need attention soon.
4. Browse categories if you have a specific niche or investment strategy.
5. Click into the individual domain page to see additional information about the auction.
6. Follow the link to the original marketplace if you want to bid.
7. Do your own research before placing a bid.
The idea is to use ExpiredAuctions as the discovery and filtering layer, while the actual auction and bidding remain with the marketplace.
ExpiredAuctions.com is still a growing project, and we're actively improving it.
We're particularly interested in making expired-domain research faster, cleaner and more useful for investors who don't want to spend hours jumping between auction platforms.
We're also continuing to expand the categories, rankings, educational content and research tools.
And importantly, the site is free.
We're happy to be here on DNForum and look forward to contributing to the community.
We'll also be sharing daily lists of expired domain auctions here on the forum from time to time.
If you use ExpiredAuctions, we'd genuinely love to hear what you think.
What would make the site more useful for your domain research?
Features, filters, data you'd like to see, categories we're missing — we're listening.
Thanks for having us, DNForum!
