And several cities use “Vista” in their name, e.g. Vista, Linda Vista, Chula Vista, etc.

You sure you didn't get rejected cuz some1 else bought the name elsewhere 1st but the registrar you tried to get it from wasn't up-to-date yet?

On days when people are all trying to buy the same names, it can appear that the domain is still available after it's been taken elsewhere around the world, as it takes time for such information to propagate throughtout the net.

Upon the registrar trying to submit the domain, it comes back rejected, and thus the registrar rejects it to you, after appearing you would get it.

I've been 'burned' this way several times myself on prime domains others bought the same day as I was trying.

The whole Net doesn't run on Real-Time... yet! (lol - like it ever will)

But I likle their lower prices for cheapo names. In any event, I tryed to reg 3 names through them and they all had OVT with ext, and ended up with 2 of them.

As for Vista, why are they useing a name like that anyway? It can not be trademarked, IMHO. www.vistawindows.com... Who will be sueing who first?

I also just bought VistaTutor.com off someone cheap. I dont know why people are registering the domains, and not bothering to hold onto the good ones.
