.mobi section

I am sick and tired of dozens of threads titled "Look at my great .mobi domains!" and "Great News for .mobi" and "Where did you backorder your 500 .mobi names".

This extension, in the vast majority of cases, is a joke. I'd really like it to have its own forum, so I never have to see threads on the subject again, if I don't want to.

Pretty please with sugar and a cherry on top...

Although his post comes off as pretty, well not nice, I have to agree with GT. I too am getting sick of seeing everyother thread on here about .mobi.


My opinion on the suffix aside, it's becoming a real eyesore.

There does seem to be some serious overdosing on promoting 'm' names at the moment. That said I am interested to know the results of the Pool auctions. However I think we are maxed out on the 'for and 'against' arguments.

We need a .mobi section...I am sick of this crap polluting the rest of the subforums. What a horrible extension (for 99% of domains).

You guys are wasting your money. If I came out with a .COOL extension you would probably line up to spend $60 each on them as well.

No, it isn't too early to say it will be a major failure.

Its not a fad...its a pipedream. I am sorry you wasted $6,000+ in this extension...but don't let your obvious bias sway your opinion on the subject or anything...

I agree with the new section.. .mobi will rise becaue it has an edge on other domains it will be used alot for the phones and everyone has a phone...

I don't think we really need a .mobi section. The .mobi people will calm down again once the first sales have been completed. We can still add a new section if .mobi is still hot in six months or so.

i agree with Gt, as to the frequent posting of "my mobi" names, especially in the Gold lounge section, where it is obvious promotion of one's domain.

Perhaps we can do something about that, by putting those posts in "appraisal" section where they really belong.

i also agree with dodo1, in that it doesn't need it's own section just yet.

i too think the posting will decrease once all of the "newness" wears off.

For someone who is so against the extension and the .mobi threads, you sure have posted and frequented a lot of them.

I'm sure many members will be able to throw it back in my face when dozens of .mobi's are being sold for thousands of dollars each and every day.
