I have just written a thread about Phorm technology for the Domaining News section and when I submitted it I got a screen saying that the post would not appear until it had been checked by a moderator! :upset:

What the hell is going on?

I am an exclusive member of several years standing and when I find a piece of news directly relevent to domaining and post it with a link to a reputable source I do not expect to have my posts moderated like some kindergarden pupil.

Come on, we are meant to be responsible domainers here, please treat us as such. :ok:

Many people were posting their own blogs and unrelated news in the "domain news" forum so the admins decided to do enable this to keep people from spamming their blogs etc.. in there. And yes, some exclusive members were guilty of this, too.

People were also using it to post their new businesses, domains that they bought, sites that they launched, none of which is related to the domain industry.

Edit: It looks like your post has already been approved.

This is the reason I don't post news anymore on DNF.

Hi Dragger,

Perhaps being off the forum for a few months has left me out of touch, I therefore apologise for the brusque nature of the above post, and thanks to your explanation I now understand why such action is neccesary, it just came as a total shock that someone would need to moderate my posts.

Post away - if it's legit and not advertising etc.. we'll approve it. :)

NP. :ok:

They are approved, normally, very fast so no worries and no need to not post in the section.
