I need a new host.

Even an only email host that I will forsure get 100% uptime, and can just forward them my MX record or something.

so either a full web hosting change, or just for emails.

I'm looking for a solution from a big company like Yahoo or something of the sort to ensure that I will not expierience ANY downtime whatsoever.

Thanks.

EVERY server has its downtime, it's simply unavoidable, even with BIG companies. Yahoo's servers are fast, but still they have their fair share of downtime. So if you are working on something critically important, just make sure you don't go with some people who host out of their own basements. Perhaps you could edge your requirement *a little* higher from e.g. 99.5% 99.7% though.

I might go after Yahoo hosting or Business Email there.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Try http://www.interland.com if you want big, business and well resourced. They are the King of the Hosting Companies.

http://www.rapidsite.com

I left them because of price, but they sure had 100% uptime (at least for the few years I was with them).

I *think* (not sure) they used to be connected to verisign???
Anyhow, other than the price, I never had a downtime for like 3 years.
Pretty amazing.
For me, 99% is more than enough though

probably try ISP near your area.

I really like 5dollarhosting.com. You get a site and up to 100 email accounts for $60/yr. Very reliable and a great, easy to use interface. They just added DomainAssassin for getting rid of spam, and it has really allowed me to own my email inbox again. They use Linux servers, so the uptime is very high. If you want minimum downtime, go with someone using Linux.

I reccomend Tera-Byte if you want email. They are up alot.

I have a couple small sites at www.ehostingbiz.com They have been very reliable for me. Don't believe the "unlimited hits" though. :)

servermatrix.com is good for dedicated servers.

I am also interested in this.

I don't really want to go with a "normal host" as they sometimes go down for hours at a time.

Do people like NSI or Yahoo ever go down?

What about Hotmail Plus?
That allows for domain email, doesn't it?
