Just try sending a .info URL via MSN messenger, the person you're chatting to will not see it.

Not sure what the reason is, whether it's just a bug or a block put in place by MSN.

Rob is correct but I think I had this problem with Yahoo chat instead. You might want to put an underscore before the http.

E.g. _http://www.example.com
