Dude, congrats.

That's all you need to do to get started in the world of being a Webmaster.

By the way, is that a Ducati in your avatar?

Triumph? Moto Guzzi?

Cheers Gerry! When I was building it I thought of you ;)

It's not shown up at all in Google yet. Maybe they don't like 'amateur' medical sites?

That's my Suzuki Hayabusa :approve:

I'll be glad to include it on my sites.

It will take some time for anything to show up in google.

As for the Suzuki, a close friend AND his son ride those. Dad's is blue, Son's is red, both 2008 models I believe. Son had the dealer order a custom graphics package which added quite a bit of money to the final price.

I sat on one but my back just could not take it. The balance was just in credible for a heavy bike. It was like no matter what shape your were, the bike just seemed to fit and mold around you. I was very impressed.

If I get back into riding, I will go with a touring model. I really liked the Moto Guzzi sport touring.

Did you ping your posts?
There was one default URL in 'Update Services' so I Googled and added some more - do I have to do anything else? All this terminology is new to me as I've been too lazy to learn :(

Many thanks!

Nice template - simple yet effective.
Cheers - it's the Thesis theme. It costs but it has easy design options for a beginner like me.

Yes, mine's a 2008. The Hayabusa is very popular in the USA. Some incredible customs built there for road and drag. It's a comfortable tourer but there's nothing to touch it on a straight road if you like nutty speeds - if it wasn't for the EU restricted engine that maxes it out at 186mph, it's good for 202mph out of the dealer.

Wish I was as quick as that with WP.

Don't worry, you'll get up to speed in no time on WP.

As for the bike, yeah - Max's bike (the son) he ordered with a wild looking bright yellow and lime green graphics package that ended up just stunning looking! I think it added over a thousand bucks to the price.

Dale,

When you feel comfortable with your site, let me know and I'll post it on my medical like I did your Biatch's (pred's) - front page ceuq dot com

At least it will get you some first looks by my users.

I used to hate wordpress, but now I use it for a majority of my projects.
I have several templates that I have modified to my needs and can quickly customize them to fit the look I want and there are so many great plugins for it.
I can usually get a new site up and running with wordpress within a couple hours now. Saves so much time.

WP is great for a beginner CMS. Very easy to use, very easy to edit the code to fit your needs, tons of free (and paid for) templates, plugins, etc.

I used to look at WP as this big ugly monster that was uneditable (only using what is available), now it's easy to get a site up, customized, and edited with AdSense in less than 30 minutes.

After teaching (and struggling) myself Joomla, when I first looked into WP, it was sooooo much easier learning curve.

WP is slick and I do like it. But I get a bigger kick out of doing something in Joomla.

Next up for me...Abode CS3 Illustrator and Photography, DreamWeaver, Flash, and Fireworks.

And a Wacom graphics tablet.

Thanks much Gerry. LOL "biatch" - Guy'll love that  :)

Google still haven't been in to it although they've seen fit to fully crawl a default system 'test' directory. I've still got some tidying up to do like checking articles I had written for me that I posted - but there seems to be enough there for the big G to start on. Weird.

Now trying to get to grips with all the SEO stuff. There are a ton of options, especially as I have WProbot (excellent) so this one has been a good exercise for me for a domain which I really have little hope in ranking well. I just wanted to create one functioning WP site until I move on to the next, which is important to get right.

Dale, it actually does look nice and clean and effective.

Just goes to show that sometimes the message is lost in graphics and ad heavy sites.

KUDO's to you.

Thanks Gerry. I've just been told on another site also that I should look at Joomla. So that's what I'll do tomorrow. Ughh - another steep learning curve :(
