Last night my wife and I were talking and I told her that I never wanted to live in a vegetative state.

I never wanted to be dependent on a machine and being fed fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, please don't hesitate to pull the plug.

With that she unpluged my computer and took my beer.

Just few weeks ago here in Italy we had the case of Eluana Englaro (I don't know if american magazines talked about this but I think yes).
Her dad after many years of vegetative state pull the plug.

For me a vegetative state is not a life.
Life need dignity and live dependent on a machine don't have dignity.

But it's hard let to die a person we love...I had my uncle in that condition and I do miss him now he's gone.

I concur with the replies. Keeping the girlfriend tied up in the basement is a little harsh though. When are you going to let her out? ^_^
