Since when do they have reserves set on dropped domains, first time i have ever seen it on teenagecarinsurance.com $300 reserve not met.......have they started taking private entries ?
I am in an auction with "Namejet Reserve" where it is a name which dropped a bit ago that Register.com has kept. I was the only one who seemed to want this name on name jet and now I am bidding against register.com. I wonder how high register.com will push this formerly dropped name up. I am thinking that if there was another actual bidder with me...there would not be a dummy Register.com bidder.
Has anyone else been in an auction where "Namejet Reserve" is in fact a registrar (Register.com) and had this registrar bid against you on a formerly dropped name they kept and did not drop?
And to be clear, I was the top place bidder at $69 originally and "NameJet Reserve" (AKA Register.com in this auction) overbid me today....so this was not an actual reserve...I was out bid.
It seems this is like me setting up an ebay no reserve auction and then logging in as another bidder and pushing the price up if there is another bidder.
I wonder if other registrar drop partners of namejet are going to follow suit and do the same thing by bidding up their own auctions under the cloak of "NameJet Reserve".
