Need some help with nameservers and a catch all function

Hello,

I need some help from you. I have a high traffic domain name that receives a lot of traffic through a lot of former subdomains. I want to forward all of that traffic to a very related affiliate program. However they do not do nameservers. They only do url forwarding. I want all of the traffic to be redirected to that program. I changed nameservers to my own server. What kind of file do I need to place there so that every single subdomain that is typed in is forwarded to the affiliated program as well?

Help would be really appreciated.

You need to add a 'wildcard' dns entry into the zone file for the domain, how you do it depends on what dns software you are using. For bind one of the most popular it looks like

* IN A 192.168.172.10

for example.

This is however only 1/2 the solution. Since it is doubtful the affliate program server is set up to answer as any domain and url in the domain, you will also then need to set up a server at that address to message the results as needed for the browser to see what you want it to.
