No links in google? whats wrong?

So my site www.lbfoodie.com is showing no links in google. But i get a majority of my traffic from google searches. What gives?

Am i doing something wrong? Are there some tools out there that I can use to check this? The ones I'm using come up 0 as well, but i know my site is #2 for long beach ny restaurants.

also are there any other sites on how to get better rankings and to check if the site is setup correctly for SEO? never really optimized a wordpress site.

Did you use Google Webmaster Tools? If not try that. I have noticed that your site gets faster index. Submit a sitemap and it would be quicker too.

Don't underestimate the power of keywords, metatags, and tags.

Some folks say that Google no longer pays attention to metatags but I always include them (as well as tags for each entry).

It does return results, site:lbfoodie.com 131 results. site:www.lbfoodie.com 59 results.

And yes, it does show up at the second spot for long beach ny restaurants. You're fine, keep up the good work.

As for links, make sure you use yahoo site explorer, google will show only a portion of your backlinks when you use the "link:" operator. Also, www and non www do not return the same results. Always settle with one "url" since those are seen as two different websites.

One more tip, try to optimize the load time, it's too slow, at least for me. Google loves faster sites as well as users do.

it is not unusual to see 0 for google links.

I have a 6 year old site with high alexa, pr3 site and it says 0 "incoming google links"

The 'link:' operator in Google doesn't work very well. Other tools do better.
