How much do you think NX.com is worth?

The company we purchased the assets from purchased it in early 1999 for $6,000.

It's a good, memorable two letter domain.

is only worth about $3k max on resale these days.

A year ago, you could safely assume $4-$10k on the aftermarket, or $20K + to an end user. Today, not so. Most companies are already online, and if not, they're not ready to spend $10k in a post dot-com era.

My 2cents

$5,000 only because as an acronym, there aren't many professional options for company names that contain an X in it.
Otherwise if it was NC or a domain with endless potential, I'd appraise it at an easy $75,000-$125,000.

 

I think it's worth over $20,000 in any market.
There are at least 2 communication companies with nx in their name. nxnetworks.com for one.

and another may be interested in it for their stock symbol QUANEX CORP it closed at $35.00 a share today.

I'd value nx.com at between $30k and $80k even in the current market.

2 letter domains have remained highly sought after.

"nx" yields over 1.3 million pages on google, giving massive scope for potential purchasers.

On the first page alone on google you've got a radio station, a comms company and a tv station so the potential is great - and thats why its so valuable.

If you get the right interested party, you could be talking even more than the above if its a "must have" for them.

Its a very nice name, and I beleive it would get somewhere around $4-5k in the current market.

In my opinion, any two letter .com is worth between 20 - 30k in todays market.

Having said that N and X are not the best two characters to combine, none the less it is a two chracter, lets not forget that.

If it was mine, I would hold on to it until such time businesses start to throw a little bit more money around again.

Sit and wait, it only costs $8 a year in renewals or less.

Going back to NX.com - Nissan have an nx model i believe just another avenue for possible exploration.

I bet you could get alot of money from this domain, probably over $5k. You may want to contact the company who's stock symbol is NX, they might be interested. Also, NX is good because there is no way to trademark the domain.

There are 7 live US tm's on "NX".

Check them at tess.uspto.gov.

People can tm almost anything.
