I keep getting emails from my EPT or EDT or EDP, whatever the hell it's called. It looks like it's an automated responce.

Just recommending that for Attilio it would be best to give back the name to the guy he got it from to stay out of trouble.

That's a cop out - stick your head in the sand so you don't see who is getting hurt? Hmmm, sounds familar to things I learned in History class...

Will one day to let the dust settle hurt anyone when there are this many questions? I think not, then truth be known, an informed decision can be made - that's all.

I heard the first wise guy here! BEATZ!!!
Thanks a lot for this finally. Anyway, I think that people like chatting here about this domain name cause they've got nothing to do. Anyway, I think that this problem will be solved like this:
1. I'll ask Attillio to complete the deal returning me the domain/money
2. Will transfer the ownership to opengc
3. If he won't transfer the money/domain (and there will be no detailed letter from godaddy with proofs of any scam) beleive me or not, i'll think about future activity. I don't think that he'll like it anyway!

TopNames, I get a bunch of these emails....

There was an attempt made to get your account password. Please note that many
login names are similiar and someone may have made an error in their request, or
were guessing at their login name.

This request came from 68.7.22.176

We do not have any additional information to provide you. If you are concerned
about this attempt, you may want to change your password and/or the answer to
your secret question on your account information page.

Nothing to do with sticking your head in the sand.

It's just judges don't care a lot for defenses that are based on "but he is a respected member on DNF" - might be very well the case a judge would find Attilio to be guilty of internet fraud as silly as it may sound to you and me.

And that would not be funny.

So to give the "real life" consequences a thought has nothing to do with sticking your head in the sand.

P.S.: domainp, i'm not siding with you or *anyone* xecpt John for that matter here. All im saying is we others that are not involved JUST DONT KNOW.

That's my IP, Jason!!

j/k

:-D

Thanks. Maybe you should do what I do...I create "mule" accounts that are NOT under my reseller account. All my domains are stored there and I never give the ID out. I push to my reseller account to renew, and then I push right back.

beatz, it sounds as if you read the first and last page and felt it wasn't necessary to read everything that is going on here. there is more defense then just atillio is a nice guy. maybe you should go back read a little, catch up then come back and change your posts.

I don't think I will have any issues as my password can't be hacked through random guesses. :)

jh3 - i read every single post.

May i recommed you read John's contributions again instead ?

this post is just to let you know that i'm following this thread, and also looking for .biz (see my signature) :)

Now you guys are deciding what is right and what is legal. As a domainer, I vote for Attilo to keep the domain. It's may be illegal, but I bet he would be pledge not guilty by the jury. my 2 cents.

Beatz, this is not an attack on you, it is an attack on fraud - or at least an attempt to reduce it. That is why there are Judges - and not simply Administrators. Law is interpeted by circumstance in certain events - and not held to the absolute letter. I believe that is the case here, and I think that it takes a strong person to follow through.

Just because "John" types something here doesn't mean it is the writing from the bible and should be followed. Others disagree with giving the domain back and think giving it back to a thief is a stupid idea.

Hey, I'm not nuts! :-)

I backed out when things seemed cloudy

Ken you come out looking absolutely brilliant. You smelled the stench long before anyone else was even thinking "what's that funky smell?!" :-)

Well LewR - all i know is *we* are not judges (to my knowledge at least), not Attilio, not jh3, not you, not me, not anyone else here.

So to base decicions like keeping a domain solely on the fact what you *read* here might not be the wisest thing to do.

how about virus or worm that track your activities on your pc? it can save all your key stroke and sent to some where in russia, oops, i means other countries where the virus originated from.

See jh3 that is what i mean - you are calling someone a thief although you literally know as many hard facts as i do about this situation - nothing.

You might believe you know something about the situation when in fact all you know is from what people have posted here which might be lies or the truth.WE DONT KNOW.

lol, yeah that could happen but I could just restock some premium domains from domainp for cheap, who cares where they come from right?

Anyway, I'm tired of this talks.
You guys simply don't understand a very simple thing.
"Who are you to judge here?" - it's the thing that must be solved between me, Buyer and opengc. Are you getting lots of fun when you're posting these messages?
Anyway, the way out is very clean to me. Attellio will give me the domain back. If he won't and will continue to judge the situation, then hm..., I'll try judging him (if you know what I mean).
Anyway, I think that this is the best finish of an issue cause that's the way that doesn't cause any hard to ANY1 here
