Planning My Summer Family Vacation

And I need some suggestions from the audience. The current plan is to first fly to Madrid, Barcelona or London and spend a week there.
Then fly to Munich and pick up a BMW. Then spend 2-3 weeks cruising northward to the BMW car drop off point in Amsterdam.

I was thinking of stopping at Prague, Berlin and Hamburg along the way.

Are those cities good choices? Where else should we stop?

Out of Madrid, Barcelona or London, which would be best for the first week?

We made a big loop the last BMW trip. Went from Munich > Venice> Florence> Rome> Northern Italy> Switzerland > Munich. That's why I was thinking of going north this time.

If you like the smell of beaches and the wonders of visiting historical cities; I would recommend St. Augustine, Florida:

Definitely was an unforgettable experience rich of culture, history and not to mention great ghost stories! If you go, you will have to take one of the nighttime ghost tours. They lock you in an old jail and pharmacy at night.

I would recommend St. Augustine, Florida:

That's way off the beaten path for this vacation. Maybe the next one.

I do European Delivery. I order a car here, pick it up there, drive it all over Europe and then drop it off to be shipped to me in the US.

Plus the car manufacturer pays for the airfare.

Go to Sweden, buy a volvo, drive around northern europe, then down to Amsterdam, car is shipped home to you, you fly back all courtesy of Volvo.

Volvo's plan is better. They give you 2 free airline tickets and one hotel night. BMW is one airline ticket and no hotel.

Secret tip, try Budapest instead of Prague, or both. From the border of Hungary it takes only 1,5 hours to reach Budapest - the motorways are excellent (unlike in Slovakia, or Czech Republic). You will be pleasantly surprised by this city, I can assure you. I would also start with London. In Barcelona be sure to place your values in safe places!

Budapest is a long ways from Munich. 425 miles according to Google maps. Your vote for London registered.

Prague is still the most breathtaking city I've ever encountered. Can't seem to get enough of it.

Prague is definitely one of the most beautiful cities of Europe.

Right now I'm posting from Lisbon (I'm a repeat visitor). Here we have port wine, pasteis de Bélem, vinho verde, a glass of ginja right before going to bed... the good life

Depends what you're looking for. If you would like to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere Lisbon is a good choice and the people over here are friendly. If you move outside the town a little bit you could be sipping a cup of coffee in front of the ocean. The good life again

You will one day have to tell me the best places to go. I hear down by the seaside and coast is best.
