Majel Baret-Roddenberry died (on Dec 18th - how did I miss this news?).
Married to Gene Roddenberry - the creator of Star Trek and was active in the franchise until he died in 1991 (while TNG was still on the air).
She was also the voice of the computer in TNG, DS9, and VOY she was also Luxwana (sp?) Trio (Dianna's mother).
