It has a function that allows you to rebrand their search with your own after making it a little more specific, and then you get a revshare from the advertising that they serve up.
A friend of mine made this as a joke, but is making a ocuple bucks a day from it: http://www.wikooglepedia.com/

That's the whole point of using their engine for this.
They actually offer it, but you're meant to customise it. Using it purely as the regular results is the no-no, but if you narrow them down, i.e. Wikipedia references only, then it's all fine.
