sedo/afternic hybrid?

hi chaps,
just seen this. due to start oct.23rd. was a thread recently on here that was saying sedo or afternic? sedo are incorporating an auction system, looks a great idea & should help us get more dosh i think. have a look.........

I don't think it's great news at all for buyers. It's going to drive the prices up just like snap and pool.
 
It is great news for buyers, because it brings up the value of the domains they already have. That is, after all, why they are buying.
 
This is about sales volume for Sedo (revenue and market share), not increasing domain values... In turn value if sales may or may not increase as a consequence of the decision..
 
Of course values will go up.
The change certainly wont make the domains sell for LESS.
