I've found the area to verify that the name is in the correct category. So now the question remains: Why aren't "featured" listings shown in the "featured" section of the category listings?

A category featured listing is not the same as a featured listing on our homepage.
A category listing only cost $9 and can be ordered through your Sedo account.

A better way is Sedo should randomly display featured listings everytime the homepage is viewed - this way all homepage featured listings gets equal exposure ... and will encourage more folks to view all the featured listings.

same here.
featured a great name. It was up for less than 6 hours.
The views did increase a lot, but still, I think if it was a rotating system, It would have sold.
I sold the name here on this forum for mid $XXXX

I dont think it is worth buying a featured listing again, unless some sort of guarantee as to the amount of time each domain gets featured on the front page is sorted out.
Afternic used to do that, there were 'slots' I remember, for the featured listings.
Sedo doesnt have to do that, a rotation system would solve it.

Even tho a few of you may be disgruntled with Sedo feature listings, I can honestly say they have some of the best support you will ever find. Like sedocouk suggested, drop them a line with your problems and concerns. They are very easy to work worth, and you may be able to work something out.

Started on monday morning here in europe and continues there ....

and apparently so did a lot of other peoples.

Just checked continues on the frontpage... its listed also in top domains
in spanish so dont know if thats a plus...

I suppose that there are a lot more featured auctions in english than
in spanish so that must be the reason....

People dont spend money on featured for spanish domains I guess

Please note that the domain is only on the front page list until it is replaced by newer entries.

Lie ! There is no rotation at all on sedo.com, nore on .fr, .de etc...

Yes sure ! I have paid two times 60$ to be on the second, third etc pages...

Users who had tried the "featuring listing" on homepage one time, never paid it again, and everybody knows the reason ! NO ROTATION AT ALL !!! And some of managers in Europe says it clearly... once you have ask naively "why i'm off the homepage after one day"... reply : "Yes, that's one of the weak point"...
But a weak point that Sedo doesn't want to change it's seems !

Once question, how many managers on local Sedo websites have themselves many domain names to sell ? It could be interesting to see how many of these domains finally are on the homepage...

And we... dumb clients, we pay, and well, as we are nice boy... we give them a second chance...

Sure Sedo doesn't work on ANY rotation on the "featured listing"... It'"s time that they said it clearely !

Yes, Afternic one is more harder to get because of few disponible opportunities, but at least it's sound much more honnest !

Because that is a question of honnesty !

So please, Sedo managers, please, keep your bla bla about rotation and explanation on ordering page, because it's scientifically not clear, and maybe commercialy not honnest !

Signed by a dumb who also was ripp off on such story... Because we are, saddly to say it (and please once again Sedo manager keep your nice supposed professional words), it's a scamm !

I agree 101%... we have already seen some successful internet story too much sleeping on their success and awake when the prince was just an huggly nightmare called : Reality of the every day truth !

Maybe it's time see... or to create ? ... elswhere or something else...

Hello from Sedo,

The domains in the Featured Listings are rotated.
As newer entries are added, domains are pushed down the list.
As they are pushed down the list, they move off the front page onto the consecutive pages.
They are rotated through the list for the 30 days.

We are currently working on a new way of processing and displaying the featured listings.
This change will go ahead thanks to the feedback and suggestions of our customers.
