I've seen a ton of domains up for sale that seem to be randomly generated, let's say something like t9i.com and ddx8.com and 3lrd.com (not real examples - taken out of the blue).

What's the point of such domain names? They don't mean anything, and they don't make sense to be used.....at least not in my opinion.

So can someone please enlighten me why it's so popular to register these domain names?

Thanks!

Blame it on 3-LETTER .COMs.

But you can rest assured that just because some people register a bunch of those stupid domains does NOT necessarily mean they are really worth something. But the strategy here is to sell 10% of their stock for a 1,000% profit, although it's more like a hit and miss to locate somebody who has a genuine interest in THAT PARTICULAR 3-CHARACTER or 4-LETTER domain you own, AMONG your dozens of others that nobody wants.
