I was looking over some of my traffic reports and saw something odd.

I like to see referred sites, and normally it's quite predictable. Related sites, related search sites, etc. but one caught my eye.

To give some background - this site is a .com of a popular breed of dog. We have pictures of the puppies we had on there plus I try to update the site with breed-related news.

One referral caught my eye. It is a .me hack, and rather "adult", parked w/ NDParking (never heard of them?).

The funny thing is that someone went to a site expecting something adult related (terminology of the site suggests the owner is in the UK (pesky WhoIs privacy) and then typed in a search for a cute breed of dog.

You are seeing what is called "referer spam". Ignore it and definitely never go to the site. Visiting the site encourages them to continue spamming and you never know what malware or viruses are waiting for you.
