Ok, I saw a television advertisement for Internet services the other day, and they used a name for their product that I thought was funny. The trend seems to be that following "spam" with some horrible phrase that essentially means it nothing but ill-will, is the branding to beat these days.

I decided to type in some random malicious thoughts towards spam and find out how many of these names have already been regged. Just for fun, read the list below, and without checking...

Try to guess the only names that were NOT registered at the time of this post. Only FOUR of these names were not registered.
  • spamassassin.com
  • spamaway.com
  • spambegone.com
  • spamdeny.com
  • spamreaper.com
  • spambully.com
  • spamcop.com
  • spamhitman.com
  • spamwhacker.com
  • spamslapper.com
  • spamdeath.com
  • spamdestroyer.com
  • spameliminator.com
  • spamender.com
  • spamhater.com
  • spamimpaler.com
  • spamkicker.com
  • spammonster.com
  • spamkiller.com
  • spammurder.com
  • spam911.com
  • spamremove.com
  • spamshredder.com
  • spamevil.com
  • spamstabber.com
  • spamterminator.com
  • spamtosser.com
  • spamtrapper.com
  • spamcannibal.com
If you're laughing by the time you get to the end, I think you find it as twistedly funny as I do. Mark the four names down and use your favorite bulk checker to check out the results. I'm sure Hormel (maker of the delightful luncheonmeat) is just beside itself...

I just had to cheat and run them through RegisterFly's bulk domain check. The four are still available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. Then I took a few from eNoms suggestions:
spamstiffer
spamwaster
spamhamster
spamstripper
spamroasters
spamstrainer
spamastery
spammastergeneral
spamwebmasters
spamdestroyers

I still like Spam fried; I don't care what anybody says.

Hehehe. Nice way. If there was a prize it would have been good lol.

So, the names, still unregged (thank God), were:
spamevil.com
spamimpaler.com
spammurder.com
spamimpaler.com

Worth noting that "spammurder(er).com" IS actually regged, and was registered exactly 3 days after I posted this thread (Nov 07, 2004). Hm, coincidence? I think NOT!

And for the drunken
drop chaser crowd:
