Two blondes had driven across the country to see Disney World in Florida.

As they approached it and got onto the final stretch of highway, they saw a sign saying "Disney World Left!"

After thinking for a minute, the driver blonde said "Oh well!" and started driving back home.

If you think this is funny, consider this true story.

I used to live on hiway 27, about 3 miles north of the "4 Corners Loop" where 4 counties intersect. There was a loop exiting right onto hiway 192, which takes you right into Disney World 2 miles later.

Then one day there was a new construction of residences right before the loop exit. From that point it was impossible to view the actual exit that was beyond the hill, a couple of hundred yards later.

One day, some Disney Dufus put up a green sign - just like the regular hiway signs - that said "Disney World - Right" and an arrow.

Guess what...every day, on my way to work, dozens of cars would flash right and exit onto the road that led to the dead-end construction site of the subdivision.

Several months later they moved the sign *after* the subdivision - but not until several hundred (or thousand?) visitors from the north drove off the road for a loop around the 4 Corners Loop :-D

Not only that....hiway 27 is considered a "trucker's alley". In 6 months they lowered the speed limit from 70 to 45 and added 4 traffic lights. So many new businesses were built that the area is not considered rural anymore.

The only such reminder of the once full of orange groves 14 mile stretch, is the strip club that was allowed to remain in its spot, right before the 4 Corners Loop subdivision! :-D I wonder if the construction company mentioned that as a bonus amenity to prospective buyers LOL

Theo, if they were to put up "Disney World Left", thousands of cars would be turning back home...
