LOL...... here we go again.

You would think people would chose smaller less well-lawyered companies to mess with.

Value > your legal fees

If your going to register names like this at least try to pick ones that there can be some other noncorporate related-usage...What are ya gonna do, sell cocaine or coke ( natural gas ).

Drop the name and take the $10 loss....

If ya really want to have fun with lawyers reg some Olympic related names...they love to litegate. HEres one for ya its unregged ...

let me guess the response, "coke can be more than just the drink and if they had wanted it they would have registered it and they don't have a trademark on thecoke"...value minus reg fee imo.

I have to agree. No resale or development value here.

Somewhat good name but I would be afraid to put a solid site
behind it due to legal issues.

May be worth the registration fee.

The issue here is does the word "coke" have a use other than as a TM for a certain beverage.

I can think of two such uses

1) A site related to cocaine addiction. The beverage in question is called "coke" because one of the early ingredients was cocaine.

2) A site related coking coal, coke ovens and steel production.

By the way the beverage company with all thier lawyers lost "sprite" in a minor cc tld on the grounds that "sprite" was generic.

Then there are also the fair critisim use. For example a site about the harmful effect of drinking the stuff. These have gone both ways.

Of course I must say that proper legal advice is needed here.

I wouldn't mess with a name like this. I'm no lawyer, but maybe there's one on this forum who can explain the deal w/this name. Too close to Coca Cola, but FineE is right, too.
