Three Letter Domain Names (i.e. LLL.com) What Gives?

It's against the rules to list the name here (sound like Mod talk!). This is not the first time that I got $8k for this name.
I plan to keep them for a while or until I get offers from end users.

I also feel the bubble is soon going to burst on the wildly inflated 3 letter com's. How could names like zkx.com be worth 10k or whatever? How many companies out there could have an ZKX company name or acronym product use? The market seems to be mostly from domainers selling to each other in addition to the occasional end-user coprorate sales of good letter ones.

The market appears to be at or nearing a peak and reminds me of the real estate market in 04 and 05 when it topped-out and been coming down hard since then. I would advise you to sell your 3 letter names now, both the bad ones and good names. Just my 2 cents. I could be wrong of course.

And I didn't think TMZ were the greatest letters.

Goes to show you just about any name can be branded..and being just 3 letters and .com makes them much much easier to recall...and be successful online, and thus displays the inherent value of a 3 letter .com k:

The Domain market is very far from it's ultimate potential, if the growth of the Internet continues (almost certain) and if Domains continue as the method of access (looks good from here).

There are real reasons for the value of three letter (and four) Domains, both end user reasons and domainer reasons (liquidity). I am sure that three letter .coms will long-term do very well.

But no investment grows in a straight line. What is hot today is forgotten tomorrow, as something else gets the attention. Three letter US have declined recently, there is no law that LLL.coms will not do likewise. After four years of rapid growth it would seem that a correction is due. Not the time to be buying on credit.
