PHOTOPAINT.COM

Is it a TM violation. I couldnot find a record on USPTO. Anyhow your appraisals are welcome.

Well, the only real value it has is from the recognition with Corels software.

There's a tm on "corelphoto-paint" reg no 1811951 but not on just photopaint/photo paint as far as I can see.

If it gets traffic, then thats the value imo, as I would think any potential buyers would be put off by the corel association.

Please DO NOT render irresponsible comments or suggestions. Everybody knows that this guy would DEFINITELY be in great trouble if he dares trying to sell photopaint.com to Corel.

Edit: this reply was written before safesys posts

domingo:

It IS a TM violation. Unless you are as rich as Corel, you're gonna lose the court battle (if any at all) or simply bankrupt even before any hearing begins.

And when you search the USPTO database, please include all combos such as oneword, two words and hyphenated-words. Frankly, what makes you think that Corel has NOT registered this name? It is simply impossible!

Take care.

Checked something on Archive.org. The name was actually used by Corel.com but they didnt renewed it.

I think I will sit on it and let it expire.

It never ceases to amaze me how often people are willing to ask this kind of question in a PUBLIC forum.

Remember: once you've asked the question "on the record" you can NEVER pretend you didn't know about a potential TM violation when the UDRP police come knocking!

Genki is either too smart or too wise for his own good.

Let me see.. corel owned it but let it drop..GO for it..ignore the other noise..

there is something called REVERSE BadFaith....

BUT You will be in BAD FAITH if you use it to try and profit off of corel products..it (web site)had better not have anything to do with corel
