Toshiba Laptops using .mobi brand at Cineplex cinemas

Last night me and my friend went to see HITMAN at the cinema and guess what? For the first time in my experience, a toshiba commerical came on and at the end of the clip it had a .mobi domain for the product. I was shocked and happy to see .mobi being promoted in front of 400 people in the room i was in. .MOBI is here and will be the future of marketing to people on their cell phones....

If that's showing in cinemas everywhere then that's hundreds of thousands of people being exposed to .mobi - people can pull out their cellphones and visit the site right there if they want.

Do you mean like the free advertising you all are giving DNforum.com in the rankings for forums?

Let's face it, that must be why folks want to jump in here and bash .mobi. Otherwise, I can't see free advertising in the sense that this movie opened in over 2500 theaters in the US. Are the studios giving away free advertising? That's incredible.

So which free advertising are you referring to? MobiPhobics jumping in and keeping threads alive to increase a forum's rankings? Or the supposed free advertising given away in 2500 theaters?

Why is it always, when we post a thread about .mobi, we get negative individuals posting their negative toughts about the rest of us who have invested in .mobi???

When was the last time, we made a negative comment about your attitude?!?

This thread was about a corporation using .mobi for their computer marketing, and insted of being positive about it. You individuals always have to express your negative comments how .mobi is a waste of money.

Let me make it clear for you, next time you have 12 hours behind your keyboard.. why dont you right a book... and stay away from our threads.

It's always about YOU and your desire to bash people in the face, just because you don't have the same vision as some of us have for .mobi.

I say to Adam and the MODS of this site, we should have a personality rating on this forum, so we can rate individuals for their negative comments.

This thread was about giving us investors a hope that we may have a chance in the near future to bank in some cash. It's not about today, it's about having a dream that maybe one day .mobi will have value. I would never invest my money on any other extension, other than .com... since .mobi was the 1st mobile extension.. i took a chance with my money.

I HAD A DREAM - that one day... people on their cell phones will have a online search engine that directs them to .mobi website. I had a dream!

So next time you decide to make a rude/negative comment, think first of us who have spend money on .mobi and think about yourself how you missed the chance to spend 1-3k and maybe cash in more in 5-10 years. We all gamble in life with our health, finance, etc, why not take a chance at a dream. The same dream domainers had 10-15 years ago with .com

So please... next time you read a thread about dot mobi... please don't be negative JUST stay out of our topic!

I hear ya, I feel your pain, and I agree with you 100%.. however, THEY DO NOT CARE.

The majority of this forum thinks that anyone who invests in or develops .mobi names is a 'noob' or just flat ignorant. They assume this, even tho some of us have better portfolios than they could ever dream of and *gasp* even some are .com! Not to mention, some of us have been in this market years longer than those calling us 'noobs' lol Let it go. Its a pissing contest and its stupid.

We know the truth.. we know the deal. But hoestly, fighting here is futile. Its a waste of time and energy. There is a place with like-minded ppl like you, me doc, mj, dental, etc wo all have a common goal.

I asked one simple Q and it turned into a fiasco. I IMed Adam 3 times and even went to the special section to address this with him personally. 5 pages and 184 posts later.. the question was still ignored. NO ONE HERE CARES.

Hop on that google journey and visit a place that knows whats up with .mobi. You will feel a lot better. Then when you come here, you won't be so frustrated. Remember.. # 1 on google search for '.mobi forum'. See ya there!
