I have domain that i totally forgot of, and it is only 2 days to its expiration date. Yesterday i submitted transfer to the new registrar, and today i confirmed it. So tomorrow probably request will come to the losing registrar. Which leaves me 1 day to handle it.
Now, my question is: I submitted transfer 3 days before expiration. By the ICANN rules (of 5 days) can this domain be released by losing registrar 2-3 days after exp. date, or is transfer automatically canceled when exp. date passes?
