Any Canadians out there would like to share how does the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) treat the registrations and renewals of domain names. Is it considered as expense, publicity or inventory? What about buying existing domain names. Are they treated as inventory when the acquisition cost is above a certain amount?

We are but I haven't seen anything tax wise yet and would like to know how others are treating sales of domains. I'm leaning toward a capital gain claim myself.

Wouldn't it be used as an advertising expense if it is used to bring in sales leads.
