IndeedHey, thats how they find the good ones, lol.
If Tucows would renew all of it's Warehoused domains before they hit the expired date.... All these "errors" wouldn't keep taking place!Adam from NameMedia here. There were technical issues in Afternicâs implementation that occurred. The result was that Afternic was not updating the mutual inventory as frequently as it should have, so Afternic made names available for preorder that should not have been.
We apologize for these issues, and for any time that hasnât been spent well on our site. We have now resolved the issue which prevented Afternic from updating every day.
NameMedia highly values our partnership with Tucows; they are an outstanding company to work with.
Again, we are very sorry for inconveniences. Weâre confident that our service will deliver for the entire community.
Thanks,
Adam Gross

I am 99% sure it's just a "Partnership" for auctioning expired domain names (some of them at least). Is Afternic directly linked to Tucows by means of ownership?
Enom has been warehousing domains for years, but at least they are at its own database. It seems that Tucows cherrypicks expiring domains already listed at Afternic, so that's a first.
I wonder if GoDaddy would sue Afternic![]()
