Typo's still a hot commodity?

Im ramping up my portfolio with quite a few typos... Im wondering if it may be a waste of money considering my inexperience within the industry

Are typo's still a hot commodity in 2006 and beyond or what ?

You must differentiate between typos of trademarks and generic typos.

I'm quite sure TM typos will lose value in 2006, because all major PPC providers are currently looking for ways to filter out that low quality traffic or they just remove TM domains from their members' accounts (as Yahoo has already done).

Generic typos will not go down in value though, because their traffic is still quite good in terms of domain parking / pay-per-click.
