Use domains to provide email service?

What are the pros and cons of using domains to market email or email forwarding to the public? Which service is best if you're not going to provide it directly? What has your experience been with Everyone.net? Any success stories out there? Any horror stories?

For me, its a great email service, but don't look to make money off of it, no one would pay for that kind of email with gmail out there.


Some of my sites have been accepted, and others rejected.

I went down the road a few times of offering free email with branded domains.
it was a disaster.
the first people that sign up are ususally spamers.
you'll get your domains blacklisted, and your dedicated server gone...
I dont think it is worth it.

Thanks. I was definitely ruling out "free" because of that possibility - was thinking only of paid.

Lots of competition out there. You have to find innovative business model to stand out above the rest. If you still persist on offering free email service, then there must something different in it to make potential customers to choose your service.
